My name is Julia Miedema and it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new assistant rental broker and office manager at Van der Meulen Makelaars. After working in the hospitality industry for many years, I transitioned to a career in real estate. The skills I gained in the hospitality industry, such as being customer-oriented, straightforward and quick to change gears, now come in handy in this industry.
Because we work in a small team, lines of communication are short and I’m kind of a jack-of-all-trades. Very succinctly, I work as an assistant rental agent, helping tenants and landlords find the match. Furthermore, I draft agreements and handle everything around them and help organize viewings. I also handle the duties of office manager, which means that chances are that when you call our office, you will get me on the line. In doing so, I perform administrative tasks and make sure everything behind the scenes runs as smoothly as possible.
I enjoy living in Groningen, a city I truly call my home. In my free time, I enjoy game nights, cooking for friends and regularly spending a weekend away for a new adventure and gaining experiences.
