Property Management Groningen

After reading the previous four parts, curious what a workday looks like? We’ll take you on a random day.

9:00

At 9 a.m. our office opens and all colleagues are present. Of course, the day starts with a good cup of coffee, a chat with colleagues and opening the mailbox and calendar.

Here the emails are filtered and the urgent matters are picked out and, if possible, dealt with immediately.

10:00

The first appointments for the day are scheduled. These are a number of viewings for a property we have newly listed. The photos were taken last week, and out of all the applications, six candidates will come to see them today. They all get a tour individually and all the time they need to see the property.

12:00

Back at the office discuss the viewings in the office and wait for the responses to come in on this.

Time to stretch our legs and take a walk around Helpman together and then have lunch together at the office.

14:00

After answering all the emails and apps, another inspection is scheduled. The tenant of this property on Noorderplantsoen is leaving after two years. At the pre-inspection it already looked good and only final cleaning was necessary. This has been done well and there are no other peculiarities.

14:30

A copy of the final inspection report goes to the finance department for settlement of the deposit.

It is now time to make a few phone calls to relocators, as we are getting a nice project in Rolde for short stay rentals. Then we can schedule viewings right away for next week.

16:00

Another appointment is scheduled before the end of the afternoon with the tenant of a townhouse in Helpman, to look at some maintenance issues together. We make a list of the items that are for the tenant and which we, in consultation with the owner, will have done.

A day as a rental agent/property manager is different every day and never boring. Would you also like to have your property rented out by Van der Meulen Makelaars? Or are you looking for a rental property for yourself or your employees? Even then we are happy to help you.
