Between January 2023 and July 2024, rental supply in the €800-€1499 segment fell dramatically, from 2,076 to just 929 homes. Many 60-80 sqm apartments outside the Randstad are proving unprofitable to rent out. At the same time, we see an increase in the segment starting at €1,500: from 2,881 to 2,910 homes, peaking at 3,513 in January 2024.
What is striking is that homes above €1,500 are often offered furnished. As a pioneer in furnished rentals, we only welcome this development.
Why?
