Defect discovered? We’ll see if this can be resolved by you or if we as administrators can help you with this.
During the rental period, defects may occur in the property. It is important to know which costs are the responsibility of the tenant and which are the responsibility of the owner. The central government makes distinctions in this regard, and their website has a detailed list indicating who is responsible for what. Should it be unclear? Let us know.
In addition to the government’s list, the following costs are your responsibility as a tenant:
Damage you caused yourself.
Unclogging and cleaning drains, sewers, vents and chimneys.
Painting, putty and wallpaper on interior walls.
Owner costs typically include:
Major maintenance, such as exterior painting and replacing the central heating system;
Wear and tear on such items as: furniture, faucets and/or fasteners;
Maintenance of common areas.
